Traveling can get uncomfortable at times, and there definitely needs to be some little comforts that can be easily taken along. The travel set that I received allows that perfectly. Everything fits in a neat and tidy little bag. Below, you can see the slippers that are included in the travel set. They do have a slight left and right foot feel to them, and they arrive folded to fit in the bag. They fit my feet rather well, which I have about a size 9 in Women’s (depending on the brand) foot, so I think the slippers fit about that size pretty well. The bottoms of the slippers do have a bit of a texture to them, so I am not slipping and sliding while walking around on tile.

Next is the eye mask. This a pretty simple little eye mask, no bells or whistles to it other than it has two straps to go around the head. It is a little bit snug for me, but it does work well, and since there is a strap that goes underneath my ear and above my ear, it stays pretty secure. The lack of bells and whistles helps it be extremely compact and go in the pouch for the entire travel set quite easily.

Next comes the inflatable travel pillow. This took me only a few breaths to air up completely, and it was simple enough to plug it afterwards. Deflating it was pretty simple to do as well, making it easy to put back in the pouch that it came in. It has a soft texture to it, and the fact that you are inflating it with only a few breaths makes it extremely easy to get the custom squishyness that you desire. I personally like a little more of a firm pillow (that has been blown up) than a squishy one, but it does feel pretty comfortable when aired up about 3/4 of the way with air.

Finally, pictured is the elusive pouch. Also, on top of the pouch are the ear plugs that the set comes with. The two ear plugs come in a little baggy, which I had not opened to show how they actually arrive. When squishing them through the bag, they did feel a little bit more firm than ear plugs I have used before, but they did expand at a decent rate, making them really nice for using. Hard to believe the slippers, the pillow, the eye mask and the ear plugs all fit inside that little pouch, but indeed they did.

Overall, would I recommend this? Yes I would. It is a nice little travel set, that gives some luxuries that can be taken anywhere, and they are very pretty to look at to boot.

Off Shoulder Dress Shirt Review

This fit me really well. I was not sure what to expect with an off shoulder dress / shirt, but it was loose yet did not feel like I was wearing a tent. The openings on the shoulder (more like upper arm for me rather than shoulder) had a really thick and sturdy seam. The end of the sleeve and the neck hole had decent ends, but no where near the reinforced seam that the holes for the shoulder were.

Below, I am showing how the sleeves have a wide base which allow for a flared effect when I raise up my arms (while still barring my upper arms).

The off shoulder shirt works well as a dress, since it falls to mid-thigh for me. I am 5’4″, so I would imagine that someone taller than me would not be able to pull off a dress, but for me, I was able to rock going out with a pair of black leggings. The shirt was a little more snug around the middle than I am normally used to wearing, but other than that I have really enjoyed this. I ordered the “14/16” Grey, and I normally wear an 18/20, so I definitely think that people can order their actual size or a little smaller since I actually jumped down several sizes and was able to wear it well.

On Amazon, there are three options available. There is the grey off shoulder shirt / dress that I received, but there is also a black option as well as a striped option. Personally I like the look of the grey and the black options the best, but that would be mostly because I have never been able to pull off horizontal stripes.

Overall, would I recommend this? Yes I would. It fits well, and it actually accommodates sizes larger than what is listed. It also is extremely comfortable to wear.

InnoGear Diffuser Review

Diffusers run rampant in my house. Why? Because I have fallen in love with essential oils. There are a ton of essential oils out there, and there are a ton of diffusers as well. I personally go for diffusers that have a reservoir of water that you add a few drops of essential oils to, such as the InnoGear diffuser. It starts up pretty quickly and it runs quietly. It definitely is not the largest diffuser I have, but it definitely works for my twins’ bedroom for when they have stuffy noses and need a little boost to clear their noses.

The InnoGear diffuser works for quite a while. I have not timed it, but it definitely goes on for hours.

The InnoGear diffuser allows for several different ways to customize it. There are the three mist settings: intermittent mist, on and off. The intermittent mist is where it diffuses for 30 seconds and then the mist cuts off for 30 seconds, in a cycle.

There is also a setting for the light that the diffuser puts off. It can either rotate through the colors, or it can be on one solid color. It does take a minute to cycle through the colors, but if there is a specific one you want, chances are the diffuser will have it. This diffuser definitely has a lot more colors than others I have had.

Verdict: Would I get this diffuser again? Yes I would. It is small, compact and it has a decent sized reservoir and is easy to operate.

This sunflowers wallet by Taxi Wallet is a really interesting wallet. It is extremely slim, yet allows for bills, cards and coins, while still being able to slide in and out of a pocket easily.

Upon arrival, the Taxi Wallet would make a perfect gift. It has a white sleeve around a gray box, which has the Taxi Wallet logo emblazoned in the middle. Opening that, you get to a white drawstring bag, which holds the wallet. On the inside of the lid, there is a diagram of where everything can be stored in the original taxi wallet.

The flap on the front is secured with a snap. When the snap is opened, it becomes visible where credit cards, identification cards, and any other card you would not want to slip out would go. This is also where you would store your coins or change (or really anything small you might want to keep secure in your wallet).

From the top, there is a slit that allows for business cards and receipts. It does work for credit cards, but I would recommend keeping anything like that in the front underneath the flap. It would work great for a store card though that you want to have easy access to and put away just as easily.

Opening up the snap that keeps the body of the wallet together allows for bills to be displayed. There are two pockets, that are staggered in height. I actually think the staggered height is a good thing, it allows for me to keep my bills in the back, and the shorter height in the front of the area is perfect for coupons.

Overall, it is a very sleek wallet, and the curved bottom allows for ease of sliding in and out of a back pocket. The wallet is made out an imagery printed coated canvas. It is a slim sunflowers wallet that has the ability to carry everything you might need in one compact little package. I do recommend this, it is incredibly cute but not too girly, making it easily able to be carried by a man or a woman.

Moss Balls (3 Giant 1 Tiny) Review

I love moss balls. They work well for beginner tanks and ones that are more established. They can last a long time and need very little maintenance. The moss balls will occasionally rise to the top of the tank at times, depending on the water inside the tank and the oxygen that clings to the moss ball.

This set of moss balls come with 3 large moss balls, and 1 tiny one. From the same seller on Amazon, I noticed that while these said that they were giant, they were actually smaller than others I had received from them. The absolute adorableness of the tiny one made up for it though, and all in all, I did get the same mass amount of moss balls in comparison to my previous order (or close to it).

The balls this time actually came in a little bag, with a ton of condensation that was visible even when opening the Amazon box. I do want to caution, live moss balls are being shipped, not fake ones. So if the weather is going to be bad, and you cannot retrieve them, I would recommend having them held at the post office or waiting until the weather was decent to have them delivered.

Overall, I definitely have enjoyed adding these moss balls to my tank, and I plan on relocating some of them actually to another tank that I have, once I had established that they were going to live (and they have, they have been thriving).

Overview of the Isa Professional Digital Hair Straightener

I want to start out by saying, I love the cord on this Isa Professional digital hair straightener. Not only is it incredibly long (it’s a lot longer than I am tall), but it has a swivel end on the back that allows for you to move the cord any which way that you need it while straightening your hair. The second thing about the cord that I love is that it is a 2 prong cord. I have very limited 3 prong outlets available due to the old design of my house, so 3 prong spots are a premium. This allows me to not have to unplug what I have in my 3 prong outlets just to straighten my hair.

Once plugged in, the hair straightener does take a little bit to warm up. It does allow for multiple temperatures, so you can use the temperature that is right for you. I want to caution while using this, you will want to set this down on a non-flammable surface when you are done, because it does take quite a while to cool.

The grip on this is actually pretty cool, it is not a straight hair straightener, it actually has a slight curve to it. I love how sleek this hair straightener looks and it works like a charm.

My hair is definitely not one would consider curly, but it does get a big wave to it, especially after I’ve slept for a bit. I also get really bad kinks in my hair if I wear a pony tail too long. This helps alleviate both of those issues, and other than the warm up and cool down, it is a really fast process and it is incredibly easy to use.

Would I recommend the Isa Professional Digital Hair Straightener?

Mom to Be Sash (Boy) Review

I love how this mom to be sash (for a boy) is presented. It comes in a plastic sleeve, with the glitter printed words emblazoned on the front. My one quirk I noticed was that the staples actually went through the sash. I understand that it is to keep the sash in tip top shape, but it did leave a few little holes in the sash (although they were not noticeable).

The sash fit really well around my slender husband, but my rather chunky self it did not fit quite as nicely. It still fit, but it did not fall gracefully against my body, it was a lot more snug. Granted, I am a bit rounder than most women are when they are having a baby shower. I do think this would do well when draped over a pregnant belly. I got this in anticipation of another little wonder, and whether it is a boy or girl, I would wear the blue sash, just because I really do not like anything pink.

I definitely do recommend this, it is a cute little touch that can make any pregnant mom feel beautiful, because at least to me, when I think of a sash like this, I think of a pageant.

Sushi Knife Set Review

These knives are super sharp. I was expecting sharp knives, I mean they are for sushi, but these knives were a whole other league than what I imagined that they would be. For cutting, whether it be fish, meat or anything really for that matter, the knives give clean and sharp cuts.

The handles are robust and fill my hand, yet it does not overflow. The handles are comfortable to grip, and with the weight of the knives, I do not need to grip onto it overly tightly, but can instead use a relaxed yet firm grip.

The four knives are all very different from each other. I wanted to list the length of each blade, what they are referred to as in Japanese, as well as what they would be called in English. I always wanted to give a brief rundown on how I use each knife.

Petty Knife

 

There is a 4.5 inch blade. This blade is referred to as Petty, although to me that does not sound Japanese at all. The knife is called the Petty knife because it is a delicate work knife. It has more of a rounded edge to the blade than the other knives do, so this is for when you are working with small items and want to use quick strokes rocking back and forth. I find this knife to be a little harder to use than the Santoku, but it does work well when dicing up things.

Santoku Knife – Multipurpose Knife

There is the 6.5 inch blade. This blade is referred to as Santoku, or the multipurpose knife. This one is the most similar to the knives that I used prior to this set. The blade has a gentle curve to the edge, allowing for a rocking motion, which makes for quick chopping or dicing. This knife, in my opinion, is great for when you are wanting to chop up herbs or spices quickly, the knife has worked well for me in that aspect. It really is multipurpose though, since the blade is so sharp, it works well for the delicate work of thinly slicing the fish for sushi / sashimi.

Nakiri Knife – Vegetable Chopping Knife

There is the 7 inch blade. This blade is referred to as Nakiri, or the vegetable chopping knife. It really does do well at chopping up vegetables in general, and this is the knife that is the most blockish in shape. The weight of the blade and handle allow for a clean slice through even tougher veggies.

Gyutou Knife – Chef’s Knife

There is the 8 inch blade. This blade is referred to as Gyutou, or the Chef’s knife. The description says that it is for meats and vegetables, meaning, you can cut vegetables up and make a vegetarian sushi, or just use the knife in general as a meat and vegetable knife. I personally do not use this knife very often, but my husband definitely seems to like using it when doing longer cuts on vegetables or meats.

Do I recommend this sushi knife set?

Yes! I have loved several of the knives, and the ones that I do not use as frequently, my husband uses. A nice, weighted set perfect for a large variety of uses in the kitchen.

Matcha Green Tea (Organic) Review

I will start out by saying that you will want to test out how much matcha you actually want to put into your tea. It recommends 1 teaspoon a day as the recommended serving, and I would say that you will want to do at least 12-16 oz of water with that. I found that to be a little too strong, and I did get it right over time for my personal taste (although my husband does like it a little weaker than I do). I would recommend, if you do not care for the matcha as a tea, you can make a cake. It was pretty simple, some flour, egg, and sugar, and it actually had a sweet yet matcha flavor cake. I used a little mold to make my cake, and I personally thought it was delicious like that. So if you do not like the tea by itself, I wholeheartedly recommend trying to use the liquid to make a little cake.

It does not need to be made like that, but I was interested in how to use it as a baking ingredient, so I went with it, and it is actually really yummy.

I do recommend this matcha green tea powder, it makes a really potent and very earthy flavored tea.

Rainbow Night Light Review

This is a pretty cute little rainbow night light. It is rather bright in the area close to it, but getting any distance away it becomes a lot dimmer. It allows for a child (or an adult for that matter) get up and have enough light to guide them to what they want to do (namely stumble down the hallway to the bathroom). There are no switches, no blinding light, just a gentle glow of the night light.

The night light itself is rather adorable, with a rainbow and a smiling cloud. It has two ways that it lights up, just with regular dim light occurring, and also dim light and sound. I have not personally noticed a difference between the sound and the just light option, but I really do not have the patience to stare at a light for several minutes to see if it works or not. That, and my house is really loud all the time, I think that might have something to do with it.

When viewed in a lit room, the nightlight definitely takes on a lot brighter appearance. It still looks very cheerful, but the rainbow is harder to see the glow behind the colors (the colors obviously do not fade but the brightness behind the cover does).

Overall, I have enjoyed this little night light, and I know that my twins (as well as my husband) have as well.

Gurin Flat Iron Hair Straightener Review

The Gurin ceramic flat iron hair straightener is a hefty piece of straightener. It certainly is not the lightest hair straightener I have ever used, but I would not say that it is the heaviest (although for the size of the plates I do believe it to be one of the heavier ones).

The flat iron fits comfortably in my hand and allows for ease of use. The plates are a medium width, not too long, and not too short. My hair falls in between thick and thin, long and short depending on on the year / season, so I love that this will work well no matter what I want to do.

The rounded edge of the Gurin flat iron allows for the creation of curls, something I was really happy about, especially for the wedding that I attended this past weekend. It gave a soft curl to my hair that is not normally there.

The  flat iron is well protected in the bubble wrap.

The label is prominently displayed on the end, as well as the obviously rounded edges.

The cord is pretty long even when wrapped, and the handle has a ton of room between the plates and the hand.
