Christmas Mug Review

This is a super adorable Christmas mug. The colors are bright and vivid, standing out, one against another. The lines feel like they are etched on, you can feel the black outline of Santa as you run your finger across this.

This comes in a very cute and quaint little package, the colors make it seem like something from when my parents were little. Warm, welcoming and it really just has an older, many years ago look to it.

The Christmas mug itself is medium sized, I would recommend if you use a k-cup machine to use the medium setting. That seems to work best for me.

There is one Santa on each side of the mug, which is a bonus for someone like me, who is left-handed. I usually don’t get to enjoy decorated mugs because they tend to cater to the right-handed world. This allows me though to see jolly ol’ Saint Nick himself as I’m sipping a cup of hot cocoa.

This mug does seem to be a regular mug with a beautiful and vibrant etched Santa on a red background with white snowflakes falling. This is quickly becoming my favorite mug to reach out for, especially as the holidays grow closer and the days grow colder.

Overall, yes I do really like this mug, it is the perfect mug to sip out of, especially when drinking hot cocoa, which is a favorite holiday drink that brings warmth and feelings of happiness.

MEDca Sleep Mask Ear Plug Review

This MEDca sleep mask and ear plug set is a really nice combo. Not only do you have the sleep mask blocking out the light with the flap at the bottom forming over the bridge of the nose, but you have ear plugs that can be stored in the head strap. The ear plugs do a pretty good job at blocking out the sound. So when you have both in, it takes a lot to get you to wake up if you decide to take a nap. I like to attempt to just rest my eyes and ears for a bit, give myself a sort of zen moment. I am a pretty light sleeper though, so a simple shrug on the shoulder or an alarm that has vibrate tends to wake me up. So without the light and noise making me wake up constantly when I do use this to sleep, I sleep longer and better.

The strap that the ear plugs reside in when not in use is extremely stretchy. The MEDca sleep mask has an adjustable strap too, which is really nice. Towards the middle of the strap, there is a place where you can adjust the strap via Velcro. This is nice because if my husband wants to use this for a quick nap during the day, he can adjust it to fit his head, and then I want to use it again it is super easy and quick to put it back to a setting that works for me.

So, overall I really like this, and I’m pretty sure that my husband does too, since I seem to have to adjust it more than I thought I would.

Simply Earth Lemon

The Simply Earth Lemon essential oil smells amazing. If you want a clean scent to your house, I would suggest diffusing this for an hour or two. This almost smells like a lemon head, which I never would have thought an essential oil would smell like a piece of candy before I sniffed a lemon essential oil for the first time. The Simply Earth Lemon essential oil is no different. It very much reminds me of a piece of candy if I waft the scent from the bottle to my nose.

However, when you diffuse this, it at least to me smells more like cleaner, which is a scent that brings forth strong images in my mind of a house sparkling with exuberant cleanness. I actually got to test this out really well this past week, I left something in the oven a bit too long and it was very smoky, and well, stinky. When I diffused the Simply Earth Lemon essential oil, not only did the smell go away a lot quicker than if I just opened the windows, but the entire house smelled lemony fresh.

Lemon essential oil is one of those oils you want to limit diffusing in excess however, because too much exposure to lemon essential oil, like Simply Earth Lemon essential oil, can cause a sensitivity to the sun. I haven’t noticed this, but I do want to caution. I don’t diffuse this on a regular basis for that exact reason.

Overall, I’ve been pretty pleased with this Simply Earth Lemon essential oil, and I think that it works well in my house, especially when I leave something in the oven too long and make my entire house stink…

Exercise Ball - the Forever Flex

This is truly a sturdy exercise ball. The exercise ball from Forever Flex, the Live Infinity, is an exercise ball that is perfect for recreational use or just for improving balance. I like to use this when I’m sitting at the desk or table, it helps keep my core tighter.

Airing up this beast can be a little daunting. Even between my husband and I it took a solid 20 minutes. A little trick for this. Air this up with your lungs like you would a balloon, it is something we should have done. Something my husband thought to do after we had been trying for 10 minutes. 3 minutes of blowing air into it, and it was most of the way aired after that, just needed 7 more minutes of pumping and trying to get the plug in before it deflated too much to get it to the desired tension.

Sitting on the exercise ball is no easy task for those who are vertically challenged, aka clumsy. My husband and I both have issues with balance, it didn’t help that the first time either of us tried to sit on this we were both in stitches laughing. Getting used to it though came quickly. I actually enjoy using this as a chair, it forces me to sit up straight and it’s actually comfortable to sit on. Also, I can roll where I want to go.

When I’m not sitting on this, my twins love to play with this. They bat it back and forth. Also, this ball is incredibly bouncy, it is able to clear three feet without any effort, a simple toss will get that. Applying force makes the ball rocket into the air, much to the giggles and delight of my twins.

Overall, I really enjoy this. It is a pain to get it aired up but it holds the air well. It also is good for more than just exercise and improving balance, it is something my twins love, a big bouncy ball.

Is this a miracle? No, I don’t think so. If you can stay on it though, I do believe you will see results. Even taking this sporadically, I have lost 5 lbs in just taking this over a matter of weeks. I have not really changed anything else. I started at 230 and weighed myself this morning and was 224. I definitely think if I was taking this every day the recommended times per day that number would be greater, so for my forgetfulness, this works pretty well. These do have a little bit of an after taste I’ve noticed at times, especially if you leave it in your mouth a moment or two long. I do think this works to help boost weight loss, I mean I do see the numbers shrinking. The results are slow and steady though, which is healthier than loosing a ton of weight. I do like this, and while I was doing the whole slow and steady thing, I was expecting a little bit more than I did lose. It’s a great way to not have to diet and still lose weight, although better results would have most likely been seen if I had dieted alongside using this.

If you are wanting to lose weight, I imagine you would see about the same results as I did if you were sporadic about using this. However, if you stuck to it daily, I think you would get better results. I was hoping for better results than I got, but I do think what I did receive was adequate. Definitely though, starting out, take half the recommended dose and work up after a day or two, your body won’t like going in too fast (trust me on this one…).

9 Piece Soap Review

This is a really strong smelling soap upon arrival. The soaps do have individual scents, but they do seem to blend a little bit together. I know smelling them together for too long gives me a headache, but individually they are actually quite pleasant. I think my nose just doesn’t know what to do when there are so many scents rushing to make themselves known.

This comes in an extremely cute little box, with a magnetic clasp. At least I assume it’s magnetic, it acts like it and I am not going to take it apart to find out! After you open that, you will get the rush of scents to your nose, but the rush is at its highest when you cut the little seal on the paper and fold the paper back. Your eyes will also be delighted by the arrangement, there are 9 pieces of soap loose in the box, but the way they are arranged they don’t really move. The paper and seal also made sure that they didn’t move out of place. So you see 9 pieces of soap arranged in the box.

Each piece of soap is actually a lot bigger than I was expecting. A bar of soap should last a household quite a while, and since there are 9, that means every room that needs soap can have a bar, and you’ll still have some left over! That is, unless you have a house that has more than 9 in combination of bathroom, kitchen and possibly laundry room. Overall, the soap seems do well at cleaning and it does smell pleasant when you take a piece out by itself. The biggest reason I am docking one star is the fact that when you first open it, and for a few days after separating them, they still have a very strong scent. The scent of the soap does become more mild after a few days but it still is quite heavy before then.
