Twins a Day Away from Two Months

Man, where has the time gone... I couldn't have asked for healthier baby boys, it seems almost unheard of for twins to not have any complications. Anyone who has had twins knows that they are quite the handful, especially if the SAH route is chosen. It isn't impossible to have twins and be a SAHM or SAHD, but it definitely pushes you to your limits. I guess I'll do a little bit of a cap review of the last two months (since this is the first time I've gotten to sit and focus for more than 5 minutes since they were born).

I hope anyone with twins realizes that twins do what they want to, without regards to their sibling. If baby A wants to sleep he will, while baby B will want cuddles and food. The trick is to try and juggle them so that only one at max is crying.

I am so grateful my boys like their pacifiers! I use MAM pacifiers and they work perfectly for their tiny mouths. Many a time a pacifier has helped with a car ride or just their need to suck something to be soothed into sleep. By the way, for a baby who is a teething, a frozen pacifier can work wonders (until it gets warm that is, just hope the baby is asleep for that happens).

Diapers... I feel like I could be buried alive by the amount of diapers that I have personally changed, and there's probably another grave that could be filled for my husband. ;) In all seriousness though, there are a lot of diapers. I use disposable, and I definitely think that my husband and I will be sticking to name brand diapers, the off brands just don't seem to work very well, and when a diaper doesn't work very well, it just gets frustrating.

Ok, the adorable factor! Babies can be quite cute when they're not screaming their heads off. See, cute right?

This little cutie is Aiden. :) Right after a bath.
This little cutie is Caleb, he definitely has more facial expressions, or more grand facial expressions than bro.

I'll have to do a post soon on feeding and sleeping and the works, 'cause the baby in my arms (Caleb) is starting to get fussy and I need to wrap this up anyway.

All in the life of being a SAHM (times two!)! :D

NEW ChapStick® Dual-Ended Hydration Lock

So I signed up a couple months ago to an amazing website, www.smiley360.com , and I didn't think anything of it. I laughed when I said that I would totally start getting free things, because, ya know, free things aren't really free anymore. I diligently watched the website for a week or two, refreshing it every so often, hoping that I might get a freebie. I had actually completely forgotten about it, to the point where I was going to erase my account just so I didn't have my information floating around on yet another website. Then I got an e-mail saying that I qualified for a mission, and although it was just an introductory mission, I decided to go ahead and go for it. I did it, and not long after, I got an invitation for ChapStick® Dual-Ended Hydration Lock. I of course accepted right away, still somewhat skeptical that I would actually receive anything. Lo and behold, I actually received a free product, a free full-sized product... WITH coupons! One of the stipulations for me receiving this COMPLETELY FREE product is that I write some reviews about it. One of the optional things that I can do to earn more points is to write a blog about it. This is my explaining why I'm doing what I'm doing, time to get down to the nitty gritty.

DISCLAIMER: I received this product free from smiley360 in return for me writing my honest opinion. That being said... :)

I received my smiley360 box in the mail quite promptly. Of course I had to gush over how cute it was, being as I had never received anything like it before. The little smiley face was just adorable, just so you know. Sorry I didn't take a picture, thought about it after I had annihilated it to get to the contents. Above is the contents of the box, which are the 5 $1.50/1 coupons, the Night and Day ChapStick® Dual-Ended Hydration Lock, and the smiley360 guide for what to do now that I had received my free product.

I have tried the product for several days and nights now, and I overall really do like this product. The Day portion of my ChapStick tends to feel drier than one would expect for ChapStick, of course that might be the fact that I've never had ChapStick with SPF before. The Night portion I definitely enjoy, it makes my lips feel amazing after putting it on, I almost wish I had just a stick of the Night portion. :) This is the perfect time for me to be testing out this product, for my lips were getting chapped. I do believe it has been helping with keeping my lips hydrated, I know by now I probably would have had cracked lips. The scents for both sides of the ChapStick were pleasing, although incredibly different. I would definitely recommend this product, for I think it is pretty amazing. (Of course, when have I ever had a stick of ChapStick that I haven't liked? ;) )

Teething

So, my babies aren't even 7 weeks old yet (that glorious day is tomorrow), and I'm pretty sure they're both teething. One of them has had some white spots where the molars are for at least a week now, but it doesn't feel sharp to touch. Granted they might not have broken the skin yet but... Pretty sure he's teething because of the screaming that happens when he's in pain, the drooling, bubbles and the fact that my knuckles on my pointer finger seem to be the best thing in the world right now to be in his mouth. The other, I think I might see a bump on the bottom of his mouth in the gumline, and he's been going at his pacifier pretty hard as well. So, time will tell if they are teething or not, but a suggestion for those who might be in the same predicament as I am, where the babies are too young for teething toys, I've found that if you run water on the chewy part of the nipple and stick it in the fridge, if you have several that you can rotate out that seems to be helping mine quite a bit. They both spit out the pacifier quite a bit, but it's the only thing other than my finger that I can guarantee will at least have a chance of staying in their mouths for any length of time. And the screaming begins again, time to switch the pacifiers out! :)

Sleep Deprived First Post

After yet another feeding done in the middle of the night, eyes blurring but staying awake to make sure both babies fall asleep, I decided to create a blog. This is the first post made, and yeah. I'm tired. I think this is enough to test the waters. :)
