In my opinion, the massage ball is the best part out of this set. The ball is purchased separately from the DVD, and quite frankly it’s all that you need. The ball itself is incased in a hard plastic with a rubberized grip around the middle for easy grasping. The ball has a shiny blue tint to it, with swirls in the ball to give it a unique look.

Using the ball is pretty simple. Just use it where it hurts, and rub. It is a lot easier on the fingers and hands using this to give a massage, and it digs deeper than just thumbs can do.

The DVD I was not too impressed with. It did have some useful stretches and tips that I think are nice, but honestly I could have winged using the massage ball and gotten the same effect. If you like having someone else walk you through the correct technique, this is a decent DVD, and it is slow enough that someone can follow along while using the ball, but fast enough that it is not boring.

Thoughts Overall

Overall, I definitely would recommend the massage ball, it has been really nice to use, both on myself and having another use on me. It digs in deeper than my fingers can and does not cause strain on my hands. The DVD I would recommend only for those who want step by step instructions on how to use the massage ball, but if you have the general idea of massages then you should be fine without it.
