First Botany Mud Mask Review

(video editing in process, video will be back up soon)

So I wanted to actually show how to use this mud mask. I did real time for the application, and I showed how to remove it once it is done. I want to just walk through the steps real quick though for how I applied this, how long I took, and how I removed it.

It really was quite easy to apply, you first have to make sure your face is clean, and dry. This part is crucial, you need a clean face before applying. If you have bangs like I do, I would suggest investing in a hair net, it keeps your hair off of your face while still not being bulky like a towel. After your face is all good to go, you want to start applying the mud mask. You want to do a layer that is somewhat thick, but yet still thin enough that you're not waiting forever for the mask to dry. It does take a little bit to apply, but you want to make sure to avoid your eyes and your lips. I would recommend applying this just a little below your jaw line, and as high up on your forehead as you can guarantee that your hair won't get in it. Cheekbones, nose, and above the lip are a must, those are the worst offenders for a lot of people. As is the forehead. And the chin.Really, if you have a face like mine, you're worried about breakouts all the time, everywhere.

I waited, with a medium thickness, a total of 13 minutes and 15 seconds. I waited until the mask was completely dry.

Recommended way to remove: warm water in a circular motion. I do use the circular motion to get most of it off, but there are a few areas that I don't. Do not be afraid to not do the circular motion, it doesn't have too much of an effect that I have seen. I do try to use it in areas that are possible, but if I'm trying to be speedy I don't always use the circular motion, I do just a straight wash off. After all of the mud is gone, make sure to pat dry. This part is important, scrubbing with a towel can aggravate your skin, don't do what I did and learn the hard way.

It will make your skin tingle. It's not uncomfortable, but it will make your skin tingle. Even immediately after your skin is dry, you can feel the freshness, the tightening of your skin. It really is an amazing experience. Do NOT use this more than every 3-4 days though, you could do some real dry out your skin if you do. Just be careful, and with any beauty product, test a little bit on the back of your hand and wait 24 hours to see if you react. Just a cautionary, although I personally have never seen any ill-effects from a proper mud mask. I highly recommend this, this is a really nice mud. (Who knew all those mud baths as a kid could have been so amazing for your skin?)
